ChikaPet
Questions owners ask
Short answers about the product — not veterinary advice.
What is ChikaPet?
ChikaPet is a household pet care app for everyday notes: care logs, medications, reminders, papers, and shared summaries. It is built for owners and co-parents, not as a veterinary clinic system.
Can more than one person care for the same pets?
Yes. ChikaPet uses households. You can invite a co-parent with a join link so everyone shares the same pets, logs, meds, reminders, and papers.
What is a recheck share link?
A recheck share is a private URL you create from your pet’s care history. Someone outside your household — a vet tech, sitter, or specialist — can open it without installing ChikaPet. Links expire, and you can revoke them.
Can I export or leave with my data?
Yes. Settings offers a free complete export: a ZIP with export.json plus your photos and papers. You can also delete your account from Settings.
Is ChikaPet a veterinary EHR or medical advice?
No. ChikaPet stores owner-authored care notes and documents. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your veterinarian. Shared summaries are handoff artifacts, not clinic records.
How do reminders reach me?
Today, due reminders can email opted-in household members. In-app lists still show what is due. Native push is not required to use reminders.
